Robo India Phantom Chassis Assembly

Robo India Presents Phantom chassis. This chassis is a multi robot chassis. One common chassis can be used in various robotic application. Here is the step by step tutorial guide to assemble Phantom Chassis.

1. Introduction:

A step by step guide for assembling Robo India’s Phantom Chassis. Nomenclature of the parts as follows-

2.2 Mount the motors on motor plate-

2.3 Repeat this step for both motors –

2.4 Take base plate and these motor plates and fix them in the provided space. If you are making line follower robot see Step 2.12.

2.5 Take front Plate and Back Plate, fix them in base plate in the provided space. You may use quick adhesive to fix such items permanently. If you want to use lights at back side of the robot see step no. 2.13

2.6 Do the same for small side plates. Now power source can be placed.

2.7 Take top plate and fix this on all of the spaces provided. Various holes in plates are provided to adjust the plates. Four set of nuts and bolts will be used to tight base plate and top plate. Arduino Board can be mounted on the top plate at this step.

2.8 Tight Wheels to the motor shafts.

2.9 Take caster plates and arrange them as shown here. You are advised to use quick adhesive to make them fix.

2.10 Fix this caster with the help of quick adhesive to the base plate. 

2.11 Mounting Micro servo for Range finder –

2.11.1 Fix servo with the help of provided screws to the top plate.
2.11.2 Fix suitable enhancement of servo to the servo.
2.11.3 Take range finder plates and fix vertical plate to the round horizontal plate. You are advised to use quick adhesive here at this step.
2.11.4 Use adhesive to fix this round plate to the fixed enhancement of the servo. You may use double sided tape to stick the range finder sensor.
2.12 If you are making line follower. Then you have to tight two sensor and sensor plates to the main base of the robot as shown in the following picture. It is to be noted that sensors are to face the floor. 
2.13 If you are want to mount back light, this light may be mounted on the back plate as shown in the diagram.
