Robo India in this tutorial explains how to assemble a robot. This is a basic robot that can be further enhanced as any other robot like line follower, obstacle avoiding robot, micro mouse, grid solving robot, mobile phone controlled robot etc.
1. Introduction:
This is a basic and multipurpose robot assembly guide. A step by step guide illustrated by images.
2. Hardware Required
3. Assembly:
3.1 Tight motor holder with base plate with 4 nuts and bolts.
3.2 Do the same for another motor holder:
3.3 Take caster wheel, remove its red covering rubber. Take base plate of caster wheel.
3.4 Tight caster wheel to the its base plate:
3.5 You may fix the rubber covering of caster back to caster.
3.6 Now take caster wheel base plate and the base plate.
3.7 Tight these two with the help of two sets of nuts and bolts as shown in this image:
3.8 Take both Geared DC motors untight their nuts.
3.9 Tight these motor to the motor holder:
3.10 Do the same for another motor too:
3.11 Take wheels and untight their screw until the hole is clear. Don’t completely untight this screw. This screw of Wheel is to be tightened in the hole provided in the shaft of motor:
3.12 Tight the screw of both wheels:
3.13 And the Robot is ready:
