XL4015 5A DC-DC Step Down Adjustable Supply Buck Module

This tutorial of Robo India explains the introduction of XL4015 5A Dc to Dc Buck Step Down Converter Module.

1. Introduction:

This tutorial explain the introduction of 5A 75W XL4015 DC-DC Converter Adjustable Step-Down Module 4.0-38V to 1.25V-36V DIY Adjustable Power Supply XL4015 LED module step down The DC-DC Adjustable Step Down Converter Module has large power, high efficiency, low-ripple. With power indicator, on-board voltmeter. The voltmeter can calibrate automatically. The measure can be changed between input and output voltage, with indicator. The voltmeter can also be shutdown. The board uses connection terminal for easy wiring.

The XLM2014 module with a stable and accurate dc power supply. Then short-press the button on the right side to select which one you need to adjust (input or output). Long-pressing the button on the right side makes the module enter calibration mode. After releasing the button, the related LED will blink to indicate which voltage is now calibrating, and the numeric display will blink with the present value.

Short-press the button to change the present value.Short-press the button on the right side to increase the voltage by one unit. Short-press the button on the left side to reduce the voltage by one unit.

Long-press the button on the right side to store the redressed value. The preset pot sets the actual output voltage. Calibrate the output voltage reading on the digital voltmeter.

If you are facing difficulties in the calibration process for the first time, just turn the preset clockwise to increase and anticlockwise to decrease.

2.Specification

  1. Input voltage range:5-36VDC
  2. Output voltage range:1.25-32VDC adjustable
  3. Output current: 0-5A
  4. Output power: 75W
  5. High efficiency up to 96%
  6. Built in thermal shutdown function
  7. Built in current limit function
  8. Built in output short protection function
  9. Input reverse polarity protection

3.Basic operation

The basic operation of the buck converter has the current in an inductor controlled by two switches (usually a transistor and a diode). In the idealised converter, all the components are considered to be perfect. Specifically, the switch and the diode have zero voltage drop when on and zero current flow when off, and the inductor has zero series resistance. Further, it is assumed that the input and output voltages do not change over the course of a cycle (this would imply the output capacitance as being infinite).
